Le placage de zinc <\/strong>implique l\u2019\u00e9lectro-d\u00e9p\u00f4t d\u2019un rev\u00eatement mince de zinc m\u00e9tal sur la surface d\u2019un autre objet m\u00e9tallique\/m\u00e9tal de base. Le rev\u00eatement en zinc est un sacrifice qui emp\u00eache la rouille d\u2019atteindre la surface m\u00e9tallique sous-jacente. Le zinc est choisi en raison de sa capacit\u00e9 inn\u00e9e \u00e0 combattre la corrosion. Le placage de zinc peut \u00eatre clair (trivalent), jaune (trivalent et hexavalent) et noir. Les pi\u00e8ces peuvent \u00eatre cuites au four pour \u00e9viter l\u2019embrittlement de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne.
