Il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er une finition dure qui est plus difficile que la peinture conventionnelle. Le rev\u00eatement en poudre est principalement utilis\u00e9 pour le rev\u00eatement des m\u00e9taux. Le rev\u00eatement en poudre fonctionne en appliquant de la poudre de couleur s\u00e8che sur une surface m\u00e9tallique, avant de \u00ab cuire \u00bb la couleur sur la surface en utilisant la chaleur pour former une finition dure. La poudre de couleur est appliqu\u00e9e \u00e9lectrostatiquement \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un pistolet \u00e9lectrique.
